Labor Support Workshop
This workshop will increase proficiency of labor support skills and non-pharmacological pain management techniques in nurses, midwives, physicians, and other perinatal professionals. Workshop participants gain practical skills to use in the care of a pregnant or laboring patient.
Continuing Education Units
This is a one day workshop is for 8 contact hours. Childbirth Professional Development Group is approved
by the California Board of Registered Nursing, and the
District of Columbia Board of Nursing.
7 contact hours are approved through ICEA (International Childbirth Education Association).
Training Benefits
Staff members that successfully complete this advanced training report an increase in job satisfaction. Patient satisfaction is increased when they receive the care of a trained labor support staff member.
